AIUI science is just one part of human activity, and certainly not the
body of "proven" truths which many people seem to believe almost as an
article of faith.
Man likes to get his head around things, but his theories are
provisional and who can say at any time that he has the ultimate answer
to anything?
Personally I would at least say that the teaching of the Biblical
account of Creation is absolutely necessary whilst the teaching of
evolutionary theory is not.

Unfortunately the Bible has been proven to be a pack of lies written my
mortals to deceive, not the words of any God.
The one true religion is Hindu. Christians, Jews and Muslims are deluded
