The problems with the Canadian system have been getting progressively
worse over the years. We used to have one of the greatest medical
systems in the world about thirty or forty years ago.....not any
more.

It's not a disaster yet..... it's still fairly good... as long as
your not one of the familes that have lost kin due to the failures of
the Canadian health system.


Now we have U.S. medical clinics buying advertising in Canada to
get Canadians to go to their facilities over the border. They offer
quick service, (versus waiting times in Canada), and easy
payment plans and accept some payment from Canadian health insurers.


Canadians that are well off and can afford it.. if they don't want
to wait for scans, and treatment in Canada, then they get it in the
U.S. There
have been cases where waiting in Canada... has resulted in
death...that's just the way it happens to be. They ware working on
trying to
get the waiting times shortened, and some provinces have shorter
times
than others, but until then, Canadians have the option of treatment in
the U.S.
And the U.S. clinics and hospitals must be getting the patients, or
they wouldn't
be spending big advertising dollars attracting Canadians to go to the
U.S.

Nothing to do with supply, just prices.

Do they represent as much of a condemnation of the quality of USA
health care as one Premier seeking it in Miami on the advice of his
doctor does to the Canadian system?

believing there is nothing wrong with the US system (and how for some

are endemic and require a fundamental overhaul of the system to
